After a short hiatus, the National Associated Press Media Editors Photo of the Month is back.
This month, APME has honored this photograph as National Member Photo of the Month for January 2017.

Here is what the judges had to say about the winning image:
"The picture was chosen as it clearly illustrates the flooding that occurred after heavy rains, but also has a simplicity and beauty to it, with the pink umbrella and boots of the young girl making the image pop."
